William Mauch
ECDC Tap Instructor
William Mauch is a tap dancer born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He is a member of Alchemy Tap Project and can be found performing in various gigs around the Seattle area. A dancer since he was 5 years old, William has trained in a large range of styles, including but not limited to tap, ballet, hip hop, jazz, and flamenco. He is passionate about tap dance as both a visual and musical art form, emphasizing the musical side as it’s an important part of tap history. William has an energetic (and often humorous) personality, and it shows when he’s on stage.
He has performed at the Paramount Theatre, Meydenbauer Center, Vashon Center for the Arts, and Icicle Creek Center of the Arts, and at venues such as the Black and Tan Hall alongside professional jazz musicians.
